Grilled feta cheese


The best grilled feta cheese there is!

For many years I made grilled feta cheese. It was good, but there was one major drawback. The tomato's moisture created a puddle of juice around my feta and I did not like that at all…

After many experiments, I present you with my recipe for the best grilled feta cheese there is!

Not with tomatoes, but with tomato puree!

Recipe
  • 4 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 piece of feta cheese (150-200 gr.)
  • 1 tsp. tomato puree
  • Some onion
  • Some bell pepper
  • Oregano
  • Freshly ground pepper.

  1. Firstly, put the piece of feta in a small frying pan with a piece of parchment paper under it.
  2. Then, spread the tomato puree on the cheese.
  3. Cut some bell pepper and onion in stripes over the puree.
  4. Finally, add the oil on top, some freshly ground pepper and some oregano, and bake at 200° C until the cheese melts.
